The volunteer team have been taking a rest but after a briefing today for Cabinet Secretary Aileen Campbell for Clydesdale we thought we should share what we achieved over the covid period.
* We made over 400 welfare calls. * Delivered over 300 shoppings. * Distributed over 500 ltrs of milk, 2000 baked products, 600 rolls, 400 chickens to food hubs in first 2 weeks of lock down. Thanks to Greggs, Bayne's the Family Bakers Caffè Nero & KFC * Easter egg deliveries with Camelon Community Hub * Collected over 500 toiletry & 100 nightwear items for NHS Forth Valley * Redistributed over 1000 toiletry items to care homes and those in need. * Delivered 2010 prescriptions supporting pharmacies across Falkirk town and Callendar Pharmacy * Collected surplus food and household items from supermarkets and Redistributed to local groups. * Supported hotmeal deliveries from Orchard Hotel Falkirk and Behindthewall * Helped supply meals and snacks to Scottish Ambulance Service and Forth Valley Police Division * Supporting Falkirk Council FareShare deliveries & pick ups * Supported the set up of central food ordering process * 3 evening safebases when pubs reopened. * Redistributed over 200 food parcels from Royal Voluntary Service * Distributed booklets for Scottish Fire and Rescue Service * Distributed booklets for Strathcarron Hospice * Distributed leaflets for Falkirk Council and Police Scotland * Supported Day Today - Alloa Road - Stenhousemuir with care packages deliveries * Acted as a central hub for ppe distribution for volunteers across Falkirk * Helped and referred homeless to Falkirk Salvation Army Community Work * We volunteered 6000 hours.
